The heist at the beginning is cool and all, but it’s implausible. The narrative here is mechanically weak, which really hampers the believability of the show. Zankou no Terror has A LOT of plot contrivances and convenient developments. Speaking of the story: it doesn’t make much in the way of sense. Overall the visuals in this show gives it a serious and realistic tone, time will tell whether it clashes with the story or not. Animation is by no means top-notch, but in general actions are quite fluid when they count with shortcuts taken when necessary. I particularly like the large contrast between the mundanely bright outdoor scenes and the stale and dim indoor scenes, it really helps to convey the sunny yet stagnant summer setting.
